There can be many things said about what is wrong with baseball today. Between the enormous cheating scandal or the commissioner calling his own trophy a “piece of metal” one glaring stain remains, the viewership is down.

Between blackouts and overpriced tickets and concession items, it seems the league and teams owners are making it increasingly hard to enjoy the game we love. A family of five is hard pressed to get out of the ballpark without spending upwards of five hundred plus dollars, that’s way to much to enjoy a game. By lowering ticket prices you are making it more desirable for people to attend multiple games per year. If you lower concession prices, you’ll make it easier for a father to buy food for his kids and still have enough for his sixteen ounce ballpark beer without breaking the bank, and don’t come at me with dollar dog night, while it’s a great promotion those hot dogs are barely worth a dollar as is.
With all of that being said, there is a lot this league could do as a whole to help the middle class American enjoy the game for cheaper than they are now. Until that happens, I’ll just go broke watching the game I love.
